The PSEC Center will be responsible for the following major tasks: (1) Facilitate structured collaborations with utility companies, regulators, and government agencies. (2) Organize annual bootcamp and conference to engage utilities, regulatory bodies and government for. (3) Secure external funding and grants to support research and development in power systems engineering. (4) Create and deliver workforce training programs focused on power transmission, smart grids, and renewable energy integration. (5) Regular meetings with Government agencies, electric utilities, and related organizations.
The PSEC is strategically designed to support and amplify NJIT’s Strategic Plan by directly contributing to its key priorities through specific center activities and faculty involvement.
